For this policy, “Face Data” means a visible face or facial appearance contained in a photo, image, or video that a user voluntarily selects and submits. VideoWeb AI does not intentionally collect a separate biometric template, Face ID credential, facial geometry profile, or identity database from that media.
Face Data is collected only when you actively select or capture media and submit it for a feature that requires an image or video. We do not continuously scan your camera roll, background camera feed, or device for faces. Device photo or camera permission is requested through the operating system when needed for a feature you choose.
We process the submitted pixels and visual characteristics only as reasonably necessary to provide the generation, editing, animation, restoration, transformation, consistency, moderation, troubleshooting, or support function you request. For example, a model may need to preserve or transform facial appearance to produce the requested image or video.
VideoWeb AI does not use Face Data for identity verification, authentication, surveillance, facial recognition, determining a person's legal identity, building biometric profiles, advertising targeting, marketing databases, or selling information about a person's face. We do not use Apple's facial mapping or depth data for advertising, marketing, or user profiling.
By choosing and submitting media, you direct us to process it for the selected feature. You must have the legal right, permission, and any required consent to upload and process the image or likeness of every person shown, including consent from a parent or guardian where required. Do not upload another person's face without authorization.
To provide the Service, we may disclose User Content, including media containing faces, and related request data to processors only for the functions described in this policy. Categories of recipients include:
We require service providers acting on our behalf to process personal data only for the contracted service, apply confidentiality and security protections that are no less protective than the commitments in this policy, and comply with applicable data-protection requirements.
We do not sell or rent Face Data. We do not permit processors to use submitted Face Data for their own advertising or to build independent facial-recognition or biometric databases. If a materially different third-party AI use is proposed, we will provide notice and obtain explicit permission where required before sharing.
VideoWeb AI, Cloudflare, and model or infrastructure providers may process and store data in countries and regions where they operate, including locations outside your country of residence. The exact processing location can vary with the selected model, provider, network routing, and service configuration. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for international transfers.
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the requested Service, maintain account or creation history that you choose to keep, secure the Service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, or compliance obligations. Because different generation and storage providers support different workflows, we do not promise one fixed retention period for every upload or result.
Face Data is retained as part of the submitted media or generated output, not as a separate biometric template. It may remain while a generation task is processed and, where history or storage features apply, while the related source media, output, or account record is retained.
Removing an item from visible history may not immediately delete every source file, cached copy, backup, security log, or provider-held processing copy. To request deletion across systems we control, use the methods in the next section.
Third-party processors may retain transient, cached, backup, security, or legally required copies under their applicable processing terms. When we approve a valid deletion request, we delete or de-identify data from systems we control and instruct relevant processors to delete it where required and technically available.
You may stop a new upload before submission, stop granting future photo or camera access in your device settings, and request access, correction, export, restriction, objection, or deletion as applicable in your jurisdiction.
After verifying the request, we will delete or de-identify covered data from active systems we control and direct relevant processors to do the same where required. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Some information may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, legal claims, financial records, compliance, backup integrity, or other lawful purposes. Residual backup copies are isolated from ordinary use and removed or overwritten under the applicable backup cycle.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal data, withdraw consent, and complain to a data-protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already completed before withdrawal. Contact us to exercise these rights; we may need to verify your identity and authority to protect the account and other people shown in submitted media.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls, limited-purpose processing, secure transmission, and service monitoring. No online system or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Service is not directed to children who cannot lawfully consent to data processing in their jurisdiction. Do not submit a child's face or other personal data unless you are authorized and have obtained any consent required from a parent or guardian. Contact us if you believe a child's data was submitted without proper authorization.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, providers, or legal obligations. We will post the revised policy with a new “Last updated” date and provide additional notice or seek consent when required for a material change.
